CCCC 2026 Options for Offsite Presentation
Each year some CCCC presenters are unable to travel to the CCCC Annual Convention for a variety of reasons. CCCC is currently working on a long-term vision for the Convention that provides multiple ways for engagement. CCCC is providing an offsite presentation option for registered presenters who have had a proposal accepted for CCCC 2026 but cannot travel to Cleveland. IWCA Summer Research Grants!!
International Writing Centers Association (IWCA) members in good standing are invited to apply for Summer 2005 Research Grants of $1,000 each. For more information about these funding opportunities for professionals and graduate students, see IWCA Research Grants and the Ben Rafoth Graduate Research Grant. Applications are due July 15, 2025, at 11:59 PM EDT. And, if you are a graduate student working on a dissertation, there still is time to apply for a Dissertation Grant of $5,000. Nominations Open for Muriel Harris Outstanding Service Award 2025
Named after its first recipient and given at every other International Writing Centers Association (IWCA) conference, the Muriel Harris Outstanding Service Award (MHOSA) recognizes a writing center professional for outstanding and sustained service that has had an enduring impact on the writing center community over the course of their career in significant and broad-based ways. We encourage all members of the writing center community to consider nominating, or re-nominating, an individual whose professional service in the form of leadership, scholarly contributions, mentoring, and teaching have had an enduring impact on the field
Call for Submissions: Currents in Teaching and Learning Volume 18
Currents in Teaching and Learning is now inviting submissions for Volume 18, Issue 1. Currents – Worcester State University's open-access, peer-reviewed journal – has been focused on the scholarship of teaching and learning within higher education since 2008. Submissions may take the form of: Brief Report: provide a concise but complete account of new teaching methods or materials that will be of broad interest to college and university instructors (1,250-2,500 words) Pedagogy in Praxis: medium-length teaching and program reports on classroom/curricular practices (2,500-5,500 words) Full Article: longer research or theoretical articles related to current issues
