Before the global pandemic, my school and I had planned a project to help students in different regions in Turkey. This project was going to take place in a middle school (in Ağrı) in mid-June, and when I was talking about it, I started thinking about the people who don’t have the same opportunities that we have. Our school has its own lesson program that lets students use technology at school, which makes our education continue without any obstacles, but public schools are continuing their lessons from a portal, which everyone has doubts about. So, I came up with the idea. So, what if we used online meetings to help the students who need education support?

After developing the idea for 4 weeks, we selected our volunteers and took a week to get prepared. Right now, we have more than 20 high school students who are located in Ağrı and Adana, and 24 students who volunteered to work on this project. We are trying to reach out to many students as much as we can so that we do our best during this challenging time. During these 4 weeks, this project was the only thing I enjoyed doing. Like most of the people, I am starting to get tired of not seeing the future clearly, so it feels good to work on a project that will have many benefits for everyone. Even though nothing really cleared up about our life in quarantine, this project is a comfort to accomplish something.
