Dear Writing Center Friends,

We are proud to announce the fourth book in our WLN Digital Edited Collection series, The Post-Pandemic Writing Center. Edited by Sarah Rice, John Katunich, and Noreen Lape, this open-access publication is available under the Digital Resources page on the WLN: A Journal of Writing Center Scholarship website and on the WAC Clearinghouse Books webpage.

The Post-Pandemic Writing Center is a collection of ten chapters that document writing center life during the COVID-19 pandemic and convey the sustainable innovations and insights spawned by the pandemic. Written by administrators and tutors, both graduate and undergraduate, these essays speak to a very unique moment in writing center history even as they offer forward-looking practices and pedagogies for writing center work. Because this collection is published digitally, authors have freely shared their scholarship through videos, colorful graphics, pictures, teaching materials, and podcasts to deepen meaning and engage readers.

We invite you to glean new insights from the authors about lessons learned from the pandemic in relation to writing center praxis and the pandemic’s impact on the writing center community. And reading through this collection will allow you to experience the resilience of writing centers amid the disruptions and disconnections imposed upon us by the pandemic. We’re confident you’ll find this collection a worthwhile read for tutors and administrators alike. Enjoy!
